SELF CHECK-IN & BAG DROP (CUSS & CUBD) at Chiang Mai international Airport

For convenience, speed, minimal contact, and an enhanced experience, passengers can choose options for self-service check-in, baggage drop, and facial registration at service points throughout both the domestic and international terminals. The process is simple and consists of a few steps.

Steps for Using the CUSS (Self Check-In) and Facial Registration 

1. Select:

• Airline
• Check-in method
• Passenger name
• Optional choices for baggage drop and facial registration

2.  Receive:

• Boarding pass
• Baggage tag (if checking baggage)

3. Scan:

• Boarding pass
• National ID card or passport
• Facial scan for use at security checkpoints and onward procedures

Note: It is recommended that passengers complete facial registration for easier and faster passage through security checkpoints.

 

Steps for Using the CUBD (Self Baggage Drop)

1. Attach the baggage tag according to instructions provided.
2. Place the baggage on the scale and scan it into the system.
3. After completion, you will receive a confirmation slip.
4. Take the baggage to the security checkpoint, following the red or blue arrows, and present the confirmation slip to security staff.
   
   

CUSS System Locations 

The CUSS system is available at 5 locations with a total of 30 machines across the terminals:

1. In front of the Thai VietJet Air check-in counters, Domestic Terminal – 3 machines
2. In front of Bangkok Airways office, Domestic Terminal – 7 machines
3. Near Amazon Café, Domestic Terminal – 8 machines
4. Near Wawee Coffee, Domestic Terminal – 3 machines
5. Near Gates 8–9, International Terminal – 9 machines

 

CUBD System Locations

The CUBD system is available at 3 locations with a total of 10 machines:

1. In front of the Thai VietJet Air check-in counters, Domestic Terminal – 3 machines
2. Near Wawee Coffee, Domestic Terminal – 3 machines
3. Near Gates 8–9, International Terminal – 4 machines
